Harry is one of us, says Prince Seeiso of Lesotho

Prince Harry is "one of us", Lesotho's Prince Seeiso has said ahead of the royal wedding.

Harry, who marries Meghan Markle on Saturday, has had a long relationship with the African nation, having visited during his 2004 gap year.

Seeiso said the children at Sentebale, the HIV charity he formed with Harry, would make Ms Markle "most welcome".

"For us, Harry is one of us. (That) he is taking a person who has African roots again cements our love for Harry and his respect for the African continent," he told ITV News.

Seeiso also praised his fellow prince for giving his energy, passion and "love for the children" during visits.

"The children of Lesotho have been as honest with him, as open with him as humanly possible. Because they see him as one of their own," Seeiso, 52, said.

"They don't see him as an invader, an intruder, a white prince coming from London to Lesotho just to show face."
