Man, 24, stabbed to death in Barking in latest London killing

Updated

A 24-year-old man has been stabbed to death in east London, the Metropolitan Police said.

The man was found injured after police were called to Crows Road, Barking, at 11.31pm on Thursday.

Despite receiving first aid from officers before paramedics arrived, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Metropolitan Police has launched more than 60 murder investigations so far this year, prompting concerns over an increase of violent crime in the capital.

Scotland Yard said no arrests have been made in connection with Thursday's killing and murder squad detectives have been notified.

The man's next-of-kin have been informed, police said.
