Victim of Tube station shooting named

A man who was shot dead in north-west London has been named.

Leon Maxwell, 38, died of a gunshot wound outside Queensbury Tube station on Tuesday May 1.

Police had been called to the scene in Cumberland Road at about 9pm following reports of a shooting.

Mr Maxwell, from Watford, Hertfordshire, died at the scene almost an hour later.

Officers are working to establish if there are any links between Mr Maxwell and a man who attended a north London hospital the same night with a gunshot injury.

The 26-year-old remains in a stable condition.

Scotland Yard launched a murder investigation following the fatal shooting. No arrests have been made.
