Shopkeepers chase off armed men in attempted robbery

Police have released CCTV footage showing the moment two shopkeepers were threatened at knife point in Leigh, Greater Manchester.

The two men can be seen entering the Best Local shop wearing balaclavas and carrying knives.

One shop worker initially laughs at them, before a suspected robber leaps over the counter and threatens him.

The other shop worker then throws a bottle of wine at the pair, before chasing them out of the shop.

The incident occurred at around 11pm on Saturday April 7, and police are appealing for help in identifying the suspects.
