'She's been so brave': Couple wed days after bride loses arm in crocodile attack
A newlywed has spoken of the bravery of his wife - as the couple tied the knot five days after the bride lost her arm to a crocodile.
Jamie Fox, from Bromley, Kent, was canoeing along the Zambezi near the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe with his fiancee Zanele Ndlovu when the crocodile attacked.
Ms Ndlovu lost her right arm but the couple stuck to their planned wedding date and got hitched in a hospital chapel.
Mr Fox, who reportedly works for the National Citizen Service, said his new wife was smiling despite the ordeal.
The 27-year-old told the Mirror: "She's been so brave and to be able to get married just five days after this happened is unbelievable.
"Despite her pain and what she had gone through, she was smiling and laughing.
"Even in the ambulance she was chatting to the doctors."
Pictures from the ceremony show the couple together, with Ms Ndlovu wearing a full wedding dress with her stump bandaged at the shoulder.
She was discharged from the hospital on Monday days after the terrifying attack.
"I was shouting, trying to save her.
"She was not complaining of pain when we managed to pull her out of the water, maybe because of the shock.
"We were hoping the doctors would save her arm but that was not to be," Mr Fox told The Associated Press, adding that the couple had dated for about 18 months.
