Carnival cruise ship floods and the footage is like a scene from 'Titanic'

Following hot on the heels of Adele's Titanic-themed birthday bash, footage from a flooded Carnival cruise ship has emerged. And the terrifying footage looks straight out of the iconic 1997 film.

After a waterline break, fifty staterooms aboard Carnival Dream out of New Orleans were flooded with several inches of water. According to authorities, no one was hurt and the break had no impact on the safety of the ship.

"We are flooding on a cruise, we heard the violins and the silverware all came crashing down," Haase wrote. "What in the world...say a prayer for is [sic] all," explained passenger Marla DeAnn Haase of the video she posted to Facebook.

Further footage shows gallons of water spewing from the floors above.

As you can see in the video, crew members worked to quickly remove the water from the Deck 9 hallway and rooms. In only 6 hours, they had replaced the carpeting in all of the rooms, according to emails between Carnival and news outlets.

The line offered the 100 guests affected by the flooding refunds, the option to fly home early as well as a credits for a future Carnival cruise.
