Watch: Teen filmed throwing shopping trolley from footbridge on to dual carriageway

This is the shocking moment a teenager was filmed throwing a shopping trolley off a footbridge and on to a busy dual carriageway.

The reckless teen, believed to be between 14 and 16, can be seen struggling as he tries to get the trolley above the railing of the footbridge in Exeter, Devon.

He then puts lives in danger by dropping it over the other side on to the road before he runs away with an accomplice who filmed the incident.

Devon and Cornwall Police are now hunting the two youths from the video, which was shared on Snapchat.

Footage was shared online

The incident occurred on the footbridge between Tesco Vale and Ikea, above the busy A379.

It was reported to police at 7.20pm on Monday after the footage was shared online.

Police confirmed they were aware of the video clip, which has been shared on a community Facebook page and it has been reported to them.

A spokesperson said: "We are looking for one youth, aged 14 to 16 who was seen throwing a trolley on to the carriageway from an over bridge.

"He is described as wearing a grey and black top with the hood up and trainers with red stripes on their sides."
