In pictures: Snow springs a chilly end to Easter weekend

Forecasters have warned of treacherous driving conditions and travel disruption, with localised flooding in parts of southern England, Wales and Northern Ireland as the Easter weekend draws to a close.

Up to 12cm of snow was forecast across parts of northern England and southern Scotland, with yellow warnings for heavy rain in place - up to 70mm expected to fall in some areas - including 150 flood alerts and 15 flood warnings.
