Firefighters called to blaze near London Stadium
Dozens of firefighters were called to a blaze near the London Stadium, the home of West Ham United.
Thick black smoked billowed from the derelict building in east London on Sunday evening.
London Fire Brigade said 58 firefighters and eight fire engines were involved.
Pictures and videos on Twitter showed flames and a plume of thick black smoke.
Crews were called to the blaze at a disused warehouse in Wick Lane around 7.30pm.
A spokeswoman said 27 calls were received reporting the fire and plumes of smoke could be seen "from miles around".
The first and second floors of the building were damaged by fire, she said.
She added: "The incident was under control by 9.40pm. Fire crews from Homerton, Bethnal Green, Leyton, Stratford, Poplar, Stoke Newington and Ilford fire stations were at the scene.
"The cause of the fire is under investigation."
No one is believed to have been injured.
