Man, 39, held at Stansted in terror probe

A 39-year-old man from Essex has been arrested at Stansted Airport on suspicion of committing a terror offence.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Command detained the man, from Essex, on suspicion of arranging funds or property for the purposes of terrorism, contrary to Section 17 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

The man is currently in custody at a south London police station having been arrested on Tuesday night.
