Norway's brightest and best young entrepreneurs to meet William
The Duke of Cambridge will meet Norway's entrepreneurs of tomorrow when he visits the Nordic country with the Duchess.
William will celebrate the next generation of businessmen and women based at MESH, a co-working space in the capital Oslo.
Four innovative Norwegian start-ups will be highlighted during the Duke's visit on Thursday - reMarkable, Play Magnus, No Isolation and Motitech - which all work towards tackling issues such as the environment and mental health and wellbeing in new and engaging ways.
William will also meet Magnus Carlsen, Norway's chess World Champion and Grandmaster, and take part in an interactive game of Kahoot!
William and Kate have spent the past two days visiting the Swedish capital of Stockholm and before flying to Norway will receive a short briefing on Sweden's armed forces at an airbase, and will be shown some of the fighter jets used by the country's military.
King Harald V of Norway and his wife Queen Sonja will formally welcome the Cambridges to their country with a lunch at the royal palace where William and Kate are staying as guests of the sovereign.
Other members of Norway's royal family are expected to attend the gathering including Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit.
After lunch the duke and duchess will visit Princess Ingrid Alexandra Sculpture Park within the palace gardens, which opened last year and is named after the daughter of the Crown Prince and Princess.
The four sculptures were designed by and for children through a nationwide schools' competition, and William are Kate are expected to meet members of the public gathered in the park.
In the evening, the Cambridges will be guests of honour at a dinner at the royal palace hosted by the King and Queen and attended by members of the government, business leaders and the Norwegian creative industries.
