Renee Zellweger is disgusted by rumours she provided 'sexual favours' to disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

The Oscar winner released a statement through her representative after hearing Weinstein had allegedly told aspiring actresses he had arrangements with Zellweger in order to secure good film roles.

Zellweger's spokesperson told People.com: "If Harvey said that, he's full of s**t."

A lawsuit filed by six of Weinstein's alleged victims named Zellweger, Gwyneth Paltrow and Charlize Theron as examples of women that he boasted about having relations with.

Papers filed in New York claim: "Weinstein allegedly told one actress 'that Renée Zellweger, Charlize Theron and other actresses gave sexual favours'. He then allegedly asked, 'Don't you want your career to be more than just this little teen film?'"

Paltrow also denied the claims after initially speaking out against Weinstein in an interview last month.

The actress said: "He's not the first person to lie about sleeping with someone. But he used the lie as an assault weapon."

Paltrow, who won an Oscar for Weinstein-backed Shakespeare In Love, previously told the New York TImes how the mogul had propositioned her for a massage when she was just 22.

She said: "I was a kid, I was signed up, I was petrified."

After she told her then-boyfriend Brad Pitt, the actor confronted Weinstein at a premiere, with the producer later 'screaming' at Paltrow for sharing the information.
