Belgian waffle factory fire causes chaos in Brussels
Belgium is famous around the world for its delicious waffles.
However, residents in Brussels may be cursing the sweet delicacy today after a fire broke out at a local waffle factory.
Smoke was sent billowing across the capital on Thursday following the huge blaze at the Milcamps factory, which started at lunchtime.
Police urged locals to stay inside and keep their windows closed as the smell emanating from the factory would be anything but sweet.
Eurostar also warned of delays to trains terminating at the city's Brussels South station.
A police statement said: "A lot of smoke has been emitted and we are advising people to keep doors and windows shut and to stay inside. Drivers should close air vents in their cars."
