Beyonce is the world's highest-paid woman in music

Beyonce was the highest-paid woman in music in 2016-2017, according to Forbes magazine.

The singer, who gave birth to twins five months ago, earned $105million (£79m) in the 12 months preceding June 2017.

Most of her earnings come from her lucrative Formation world tour, as well as her numerous endorsements.

Following close behind was Adele, who earned $69million (£52m) through her world tour and album sales.

Despite not releasing any new music during the time, Taylor Swift ended up in third place with her $44million (£33m) paycheque.
