A California woman has won $417 million (£324m) from Johnson & Johnson after she filed a lawsuit claiming that the company's famous baby powder gave her ovarian cancer.

A Los Angeles jury just ruled in favour of 63-year-old Eva Echeverria's claim.

This was the largest lawsuit yet against Johnson & Johnson and it alleged that the company failed to let people know the cancer risks of their products.

The company is currently facing 4,800 similar claims and has also been hit with $300m in verdicts by juries in Missouri.

They claim that science supports the safety of their baby powder and they plan to appeal.
