Barber creates floor out of 65,000 pennies

A babershop in Gornal, near Dudley, has covered the floor with around 65,000 pennies.

When the staff were left disappointed with plain lino, they chose to do something more unique.

Richard Holtman owns the shop, he said: "We just wanted an industrial look and just bring something to Gornall that's never happened before.

"We just wanted to do some original ideas and just something that's going to stand out really."

They drew out about £650 in 1p coins after getting a sky-high estimate for a new floor.

The unusual copper floor took them about four weeks to lay in the end.
