Crews search river after 12-year-old boy goes into water

A major search is under way to find a missing 12-year-old boy after emergency crews were called to a stretch of the River Trent in Nottingham.

Nottinghamshire Police said ambulance and fire service crews were called to Beeston Marina at about 6pm on Monday.

The force said it had received a report that a boy had gone into the water near Riverside Road. Specialist search teams are at the scene.
