Outrageously swanky food for under £20
The Michelin Guide is known for highlighting the very poshest food in the country. You can track down the kind of establishment where dishes come with 'foams' 'savoury custards' and edible flowers. Of course, given the agonising hours the chef spends placing each morsel on the plate, you'll pay a small fortune for this sort of food. Unless, of course, you track down the Michelin bargains.

The bargains
Vouchercloud has scoured the guide for establishments with stars that are an absolute bargain (if you visit at lunchtime and opt for the set menu).
The cheapest is The Elephant in Torquay, with one star, where two courses will cost £16.50 Tuesday-Saturday - and there are nine establishments with meals for under £20 (all one star)

The cheapest two-star establishment is the Hand and Flowers in Marlow, where two courses cost £25, followed by Le Champion Sauvage in Cheltenham, where two courses costs £26, and Umu in Mayfair, where two courses cost £30.
Three stars come at a higher price, with the cheapest as Waterside inn in Bray, where two courses costs £49.50 (Wednesday-Friday). The next most affordable is the slightly eye-watering Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, where three courses cost £65.
