Woman, 23, charged over 'toddler snatched from mother'

A woman has been charged after a toddler was reportedly snatched from her mother before being rescued by a member of the public.

Jade Mellars, from Trentham Grove, Leeds, was charged with carrying away a child against her will, West Yorkshire Police said.

The 23-year-old will appear before Leeds Magistrates' Court on Friday.

The alleged attempted abduction took place at 4.29pm on Wednesday on Tunstall Road, Leeds.
