Swimmers dive in to enjoy Christmas morning dip

Swimmers have braved the winter chill to take a festive dip on Christmas morning.

In London, members of the Serpentine Swimming Club took part in the annual Peter Pan Cup race.

Swimmers donned Santa hats in Newcastle to take in the early morning sunrise as they entered the water at King Edward's Bay.

Meanwhile, mild temperatures mean it could be the warmest Christmas Day on record, forecasters have said.
