All the feel-good photos from people gathered at Stonehenge for the winter solstice

Updated:

Winter solstice marks the longest night and shortest day of the year - and lots of pagans and druids gathered at Stonehenge in traditional clothing to celebrate.

Daylight on Wednesday, the shortest day, will only last seven hours, 49 minutes and 41 seconds.

The official beginning of winter solstice is the point at which the North Pole is tilted 23.5 degrees away from the sun (which is what everyone is looking up to the sky at).

Here's what went down during the celebrations.
