Murder bid charge man in court over stabbing at station

A man will appear in court over a stabbing at a London train station where witnesses claimed to have heard shouts of "death to Muslims".

Adrian Brown, 38, has been charged with attempted murder as well as possession of an offensive weapon and assault by battery over an incident at Forest Hill station, in south-east London.

A man in his 40s was injured on a train at around 1pm on Monday and was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition, British Transport Police (BTP) said.

Brown, of Brockley Rise, Forest Hill, has been remanded in custody to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
