After a tough-won battle, Jeremy Corbyn has again emerged victorious. No, we're not talking about some snap election for the Labour leadership, but rather an arguably far more important competition: parliamentary beard of the year.
This is the sixth time Corbyn has been crowned victor, which is no mean feat. He batted away challenges from the stubbly Stewart McDonald and the salt and peppered Stephen Crabb to claim the bushy crown.
So in honour of Corbyn's wild success, here is our tribute to the true hero of the hour: his beard.
The way the colours change from dark to white.
The way it extends to his neck.
How it supports Corbyn when he's deep in thought.
But it still can take a joke.
How it inspires admiration from his companions.
How striking and standout it looks against a background of Labour's chosen colour.
His beard is actually a very talented bongo player as well.
As well as a beautifully calming influence.
Just look how bristly it is!
Thank you, Corbyn's beard, for being one of the few constants we've had this year.
