Violent attacker and burglar abscond from open prison

A violent attacker is one of two prisoners on the run after absconding from an open prison.

Jamie Biddle, 26, who is serving an indeterminate sentence for wounding, fled HMP Sudbury in Derbyshire on Wednesday.

Burglar Aaron Price, 31, is also being hunted by officers after the pair disappeared from the Category D unit, Derbyshire Police said.

He is serving a 42-month sentence for housebreaking.

Both men are described by police as 5ft 7in tall, slim and clean shaven with short blonde hair and a "Midlands accent".

Biddle has connections to Worcester and Price to the West Midlands.
