Saturdays' Frankie Bridge to bid again for Strictly glory on Christmas show

The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge will be vying for a second shot at Strictly glory alongside professional dancer Gorka Marquez for the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.

Bridge was the runner-up on the popular BBC One show in 2014 and Marquez made his dancing debut in the latest series of the show alongside EastEnders actress Tameka Empson.

Strictly newcomer Chloe Hewitt will be hoping to show off her best moves as she partners Welsh TV presenter Gethin Jones for the festive spectacular.

The 21-year-old, who is the youngest professional dancer on the current series, also found fame in 2013 when she competed in Britain's Got Talent.

The pairings for the Christmas special were revealed on BBC Two's It Takes Two and will also see the first couple kicked out of the current series, Melvin Odoom and Janette Manrara, reunited.

New dad-to-be Anton Du Beke will take to the dance floor with former Olympian Denise Lewis, while Pamela Stephenson will be paired with Pasha Kovalev and celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott with Karen Clifton.

The one-off episode will see the famous faces competing to become the winners of the Christmas Silver Star trophy.

The show will be presented by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, and will also see the judging panel of Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli return.

This will be Goodman's final year on the show, after he announced this series will be his last.
