Man due to appear in court on Syria-related terror charges

A 32-year-old man will appear in court on Friday after being charged with Syria-related terrorist offences.

Patrick Kabele, 32, of Willesden, north-west London, is accused of attempting to travel to Syria, contrary to the Terrorism Act, Scotland Yard said, and will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

Kabele was arrested on Wednesday in Brent, north London, by officers from the Metropolitan Police's Counter-Terrorism Command.
