Man charged with murder after teenager stabbed to death in street

Police investigating the fatal stabbing of a teenager in a west London street have charged an 18-year-old man with murder.

Lance Scott Walker, 18, was knifed during an incident on Gledwood Gardens, Hayes, shortly before 4pm on Monday afternoon.

Despite the efforts of paramedics the teenager died at the scene.

Scotland Yard said detectives have charged Idris Hassan, of Gledwood Gardens, with Mr Walker's murder.

He will appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
