Two arrested over London disorder

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a night of widespread disorder in central London last week.

An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested in relation to an incident in McDonald's in Marble Arch.

They are the ninth and 10th people to be arrested over the events in the fast food chain on Tuesday July 19 and both been bailed until a date in September.

Five girls, including one aged 15, three aged 16, and one 17, had already been arrested and also bailed to dates in early and mid September.

Two boys, aged 16 and 17, and an 18-year-old man were also arrested and have been bailed until dates in early and mid September.

The arrests came after police released a gallery of photos of suspects linked to the disorder that saw three people including a police officer stabbed.

A second officer suffered injuries from a flying bottle as officers tried to contain aggressive crowds that had gathered for a water fight in Hyde Park on Tuesday.
