Machete-wielding thugs threaten couple in park

A couple confronted by thugs armed with a machete and what appeared to be a handgun managed to capture images of the suspects on their mobile phones.

West Midlands Police have issued the images after the young couple were threatened on grassland off New Canal Street, near Birmingham city centre, at about 2.15pm on June 6.

Although neither of the victims was injured, they were left shaken after running from the scene and contacting police.
