Prisoner charged with murder after death of fellow inmate

A serving prisoner has been charged with murder following the death of a fellow inmate at a high-security prison, police said.

Victor Castigador, 61, will appear in court on Wednesday after being charged by West Mercia Police with causing the death of a 59-year-old man at Long Lartin Prison in Worcestershire.

The victim was pronounced dead at around 9am on Monday.

Castigador has been remanded in custody ahead of his appearance at Worcester Magistrates' Court.
