Shrieks and grimaces in store on Britain's Got Talent

Updated

Simon Cowell and David Walliams will be seen wincing in their seats as a Britain's Got Talent dance act performs.

Tumar KR, a group from Kyrgyzstan, take to the stage with a visual routine of signature robotic-like moves.

One member of the self-taught quartet demonstrates just how far he can contort his body.

The sound effect chosen to accompany the dancer as he twists his frame makes Cowell put his hand over his mouth as the audience shrieks.

Walliams noticeably grimaces and exhales loudly, while hosts Ant and Dec are heard crying out.

"I don't believe that you're humans," is judge Amanda Holden's comment.

Viewers will have to wait until Saturday's episode is broadcast to find out if they secured any yeses from the judges.

The show may be called Britain's Got Talent, but that has not stopped the flow of performers from outside the UK.

Alongside Tumar KR, fans of the hit programme will see Vadik Raketa from Belarus.

As Vadik & The Bear, the full-time entertainer hopes to win over the panel accompanied by his giant dancing polar bear.

Germany's Anne Klinge, from Nuremberg, will be seen showcasing her inventive foot puppetry.

Scott & Muriel is an act consisting of Scott Nelson, who is originally from California, and his mannequin named Muriel.

Nelson will perform a magic trick in which the dummy comes to life - and turns into his wife.

Originally from Liberia, Mohamed Jalloh is a 36-year-old barista and club promoter who has been living in the UK for just over a decade.

The Mimic Men are Alfie Joey, 48, from Gateshead and Cal Halbert, 22, also from the north-east of England.

Speaking before their audition, Alfie revealed that he trained to become a priest with Dec's brother, Dermott Donnelly.

"He carried on being a priest and I left to become a monk and did that for about 15 years and then eventually left that to do stand-up comedy," Joey said.

He joked: "You know, the usual thing!"

The duo run through a random collection of impressions including EastEnders' Natalie Cassidy, President Obama, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo and Star Wars' Yoda.

Other acts hoping to win the panel's approval include singer Clyde Parry and The Deep Space Deviants, also known as Paul Dolman, and a performance inspired by Doctor Who's arch enemy Davros.

The stakes are high as the winner of ITV's variety series will receive a cash prize of £250,000 and a slot at the Royal Variety Performance.

:: Britain's Got Talent is broadcast on ITV at 8pm.
