Man held on suspicion of 'Syria-related terror offences'

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of terrorism linked to Syria.

He was held at around 1pm on Wednesday on suspicion of being involved in the commission, preparation and instigation of terrorism.

The suspect, who is from Luton, was taken to a police station in south London for questioning.

Police are investigating alleged plans to travel to Syria to support a banned organisation, Scotland Yard said.
