Man charged with canal towpath gun murder of Lewis Dunne, 16

A 25-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a 16-year-old boy in Liverpool.

Lewis Dunne was gunned down on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal towpath in Eldonian Village in the Vauxhall area of Liverpool on November 15 last year. He died later in hospital.

In a statement, Merseyside Police said: "Merseyside Police has today, following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, re-arrested and charged a 25-year-old man from Birkenhead, Wirral, on suspicion of the murder of 16-year-old Lewis Dunne.

"Jake Michael Culshaw of Penrith Street, Birkenhead, will appear at Liverpool and Knowsley Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Tuesday) charged with the murder of Lewis Dunne in Vauxhall on 15 November 2015."
