22-year-old charged with encouraging support for terrorism

A 22-year-old man has been charged with encouraging support for a proscribed organisation contrary to the Terrorism Act.

Mohammed Sufiyan Choudry, from Maidenhead, Berkshire, was arrested at a business address in the town last week.

He will appear in custody before London's Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, the Metropolitan Police said.

Choudry was arrested on January 21.

Police said he has been charged with "encouraging support for a proscribed organisation (cont. section 12(3) Terrorism Act 2000)".
