Man charged with murder after woman found dead at Clacton house

A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead in a house in Clacton.

Scott Hilling, 25, was arrested on Friday night after the grim discovery was made at the property in Old Road, earlier that day.

The suspect, of no fixed abode, has been remanded in custody to appear at Colchester Magistrates Court on Monday morning.

Essex Police officers were called to the house just after 10.50am after concerns were raised for the welfare of a resident.

They found the woman, believed to be in her late 50s, dead inside.
