DJ Neil Fox facing trial over 'historical child sex offences'

DJ Neil Fox is due to stand trial today accused of a string of historical child sex offences.

The 54-year-old is alleged to have sexually abused nine girls between 1987 and 2014.

He faces 13 counts of indecent assault and two of sexual touching without consent against victims aged between 13 and 16.

Fox, from Fulham, south-west London, was first arrested in September last year, then again in December and March.

He rose to fame presenting the chart show on Capital Radio, and was a judge on Pop Idol between 2001 and 2003 alongside Simon Cowell, Pete Waterman and Nicki Chapman.
