Strictly apologises after Bruno Tonioli swears on air

Strictly Come Dancing was forced to apologise after judge Bruno Tonioli swore on live television.

He described pop star Jay McGuiness's Paso as the "bull's b******s" on tonight's show.

Hostess Tess Daly immediately apologised on air while viewers took to Twitter to complain about the outburst.

Strictly later said sorry "for any offence caused by Bruno's comment during the live show".

The Wanted singer McGuiness and partner Aliona Vilani scored a total of 33 for their performance.

Call the Midwife actress Helen George and EastEnders star Kellie Bright are joint at the top of the leaderboard after they both scored a total of 35.

George and partner Aljaz Skorjanec wowed judges with their Quickstep to Diana Ross and the Supremes' You Can't Hurry Love.

Judge Craig Revel Horwood described it as "fabulous".

Bright and Kevin Clifton also scored 35 with their Jive to a One Direction cover of One Way Or Another.

Judge Len Goodman quipped that he wanted the clocks to go back so he could see it again.

BBC News presenter Jeremy Vine is at the bottom of the leaderboard again, a spot he shares with Radio 3's Katie Derham.
