Police probe gas blast reports at house

Police are investigating the cause of a house fire after unconfirmed reports of a gas explosion at the property.

Derbyshire Constabulary said officers are working with fire service colleagues after the blaze in Riddings, near Alfreton.

Fire and ambulance crews are believed to have been called to the scene in Valley View Road at about 7.30am.
