Virgin launches Christmas trains design competition
A competition has been launched to design Virgin's Christmas trains.
Primary school children are being asked to submit their festive pictures to be in with a chance of transforming a pair of trains in December.
The entries will be judged by a panel including Jill Murphy, author of illustrated children's books including The Worst Witch and Five Minutes' Peace.
Following the popularity of last year's reindeer design on a Virgin Trains Pendolino, the next winner will also see their image on a Virgin Trains East Coast InterCity 225.
Virgin Trains chairman Patrick McCall said: "Last year's Traindeer was such a hit with our customers that we wanted to make this year's Christmas train even bigger."
The competition is open to children aged five to 11. Visit virginchristmastrain.co.uk for details.
