Shocking footage has emerged of the moment a lorry driver came face-to-face with a Vauxhall Corsa heading the wrong way onto a dual carriageway.
The Corsa veers to avoid one lorry heading off the busy A90 road in Scotland, and heads straight into the path of another.
The second lorry then swerves to avoid a potentially fatal collision and loses control of his vehicle, which then tips onto its side and slides off the road, spilling its load of cement bags across the road in the process. Amazingly, neither the lorry driver nor the 20-year-old female driver of the Vauxhall was seriously hurt.
The whole incident was captured on the on-board Roadhawk GPS system on the lorry, which acted like a black box recorder and allowed police to see that the lorry was travelling at a speed-limiter permitted 56mph at the time of the crash.
The road was closed for around six hours while the authorities investigated the incident and cleared up the resulting mess. The young Corsa driver has since been charged with dangerous driving, and is likely to face court in the coming weeks.
