Corvette is set to officially return to the UK next year as a brand builder for Chevrolet.
The manufacturer has already announced the return of the Camaro after a 34-year hiatus, and it now seems likely that Corvette's muscular, uniquely American sports cars could go on sale beside it.
The UK hasn't seen the US powerhouse since the official importer went into administration last year, but now Chevrolet are keen to use the current models to get prospective customers into the dealerships.
The manufacturer's UK MD, Mark Terry told Autocar that it's considering getting European type approval for the entire Corvette range, although it seems more conceivable that the current coupe - which uses the same 6.2-litre V8 engine as the Camaro - would be the best fit for Chevrolet's requirements.
That said, if the GM brand wants to launch the seriously unhinged 634bhp ZR1 in the UK, we'd sell our own mothers to Walmart to bag one.
