One of the clearest winners in the history of COTY, who could object to this victory? It would be like kicking a kitten. Fiat looked at the Mini and realised that it needed a retro car of its own. The only wonder was that it took so long. Fiat had a prototype 500 years before it eventaully went into production, but the pre-Marchione management thought the Fiat Croma (remember that?) was a more important priority and shelved the 500.
