Neighbours rushed to rescue a girl hanging from a third-floor window in China.

Footage of the heroic act, filmed in Zhenxiong County in Yunnan Province, shows the youngster dangling after her head gets stuck in security bars.

Residents are seen holding a quilt under the building in case the girl falls down.

A man is then tied by a bedsheet and lowered down to the girl from the building's roof while other neighbours break into the flat at the same time.

The child is then brought back into the flat successfully.

According to reports, the youngster was not injured seriously.
