Motsi Mabuse quits Twitter after trolls accuse her of being drunk on 'Strictly'
Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse has quit Twitter after online trolls accused her of being drunk on air during Saturday night’s live show.
The ballroom expert tweeted to say that she would be leaving the social media platform, and urged followers to keep using her #strictlykindness hashtag.

She has since deleted her account, but the tweet read: “I’ve decided to leave Twitter!! It’s been fun but I truly think with Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.. it’s enough social media.
“Please keep up my #strictlykindess hashtag!! You know where to find me.”
Mabuse tweeted her announcement on Sunday lunchtime, following accusations from some Strictly viewers during the live Saturday night show that she was acting erratically.
The judge fumbled her score paddles after Maisie Smith’s Jive, eventually holding up a 9 – although many fans had expected her to score 10 following glowing comments.
She explained at the time that her paddle had got stuck under her desk.
One person tweeted: “Is Motsi drunk? Paddle problems #Strictly.”
Another viewer tweeted: “Has @Motsi_Mabuse been on the sauce? She’s been slurring her words and dropping the score paddles? Bit concerning #StrictlyComeDancing.”

Mabuse has now turned her back on the harsh comments by leaving Twitter, but viewers can still find her on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
She championed the use of #strictlykindness in tweets about the show after a number of contestants and professionals have been targeted by trolling in recent years.
The dancer and judge recently returned to the live shows after two weeks off quarantining following a trip to Germany, with dancer Anton Du Beke standing in for her.
Strictly’s judging panel as a whole is down to just three people this year as Bruno Tonioli is unable to travel back from his commitments in the US, which usually see him fly between the two countries during the series.
