This Morning's Emma Kenny welcomes third child at 50: 'I've waited 10 years to hold you in my arms'
This Morning star Emma Kenny has given birth to a third child, aged 50.
The psychologist, who regularly appears on the popular morning TV programme, already shares two sons, aged 16 and 14 with an ex, but welcomed a daughter, Etta-Blue, with husband Pete Skywalker on July 30.
"I’ve waited 10 years to finally hold you in my arms. With every miscarriage I tried to learn to be grateful and accepting of what I had. I tried to dampen my desire to be a mother to another child, to find peace in my natural infertility and yet it felt so unnatural all in the same moment," Kenny wrote in a moving Instagram post.

She took the opportunity to explain why she's "spent the last nine months hiding [her] pregnancy", saying she's been working on as many projects as possible as a distraction, should she once again experience the "agony of loss".
"For the past 38 weeks you have grown quietly, you have allowed me a symptomless and easy pregnancy, and whilst your arrival was by far the most dramatic, I feel a blindsiding giddy glee knowing you finally decided to announce your presence in a way that none of us could ignore," she wrote.
She finished the post by writing: "I know that you are meant to be mine right now, and not a minute sooner. Etta-Blue, you have healed more than you’ll ever know, and reminded me of the wonder of being, even in the face of loss and suffering. I cannot wait to share your adventures."

Older mums - a growing trend
Kenny joins a growing number of celebrities who are having children later in life, including Hilary Swank who gave birth to twins earlier this year aged 48, and Halle Berry who gave birth to her son when she was 47.
Naomi Campbell, 53, also recently welcomed her second child, but the supermodel has not disclosed by what method she had her children.
It follows a trend that has seen births for women over the age of 45 rise over the past few years in the UK.
Data released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) in 2019 found that more women aged 45 or older are having children than ever recorded before.
In 2019, 2,366 live births were recorded in women aged over 45, a slight increase from the 2,357 recorded in 2018.
Pregnancy complications for over-45s
In the UK, falling pregnant over the age of 40 is referred to as a ‘geriatric pregnancy’ which can be considered as a high risk pregnancy.
While most pregnancies for over-40s come without complications, the NHS says some common complications for pregnant women aged over 45 include the higher likelihood of developing high blood pressure, gestational diabetes, needing a caesarean birth, and even having a stillbirth.
However, regular growth scans and monitoring of your blood pressure can help spot and prevent any complications arising.
