Morgan Wallen Says He Isn't 'Proud' Of Behavior After Alleged Chair-Throwing Incident

Morgan Wallen broke his silence Friday following his arrest for allegedly tossing a chair off the roof at a Nashville, Tennessee, bar earlier this month.

The country star took to social media more than a week after police said he was booked on counts of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct for throwing the chair off the sixth-floor roof of Chief’s, musician Eric Church’s new bar in the Music City.

According to authorities, the chair landed near two police officers who were standing nearby. Witnesses reportedly said that they had seen Wallen throw the chair and start laughing afterward.

“I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks,” Wallen wrote online. “I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I’m not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility.”

He added in another post: “I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe. Regarding my tour, there will be no change.”

Wallen was previously arrested on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct following an incident at Kid Rock’s bar in Nashville back in 2020.

He made headlines again in 2021 when he was caught on video using the N-word, leading his record label to briefly suspend him and some streaming platforms to drop him.

The singer is set to appear in court May 3, when he’ll be in Nashville for his One Night at a Time tour.
