Lime Pickle in Castle Bromwich won top prize, with more than 1,000 votes from customers with happy tummies.
Owner Jay Alom said: "We are absolutely blown away that Lime Pickle has won Best Takeaway in Britain.
"I would like to say a big thank you to the staff for their hard work day in, day out, ensuring our customers receive the best food and service possible.
"We couldn't have got here without them or our loyal customers. We're over the moon."
Lime Pickle were finalists in 2015 and West Midlands regional winners in 2016 , donating the winnings from last year's award to the homeless and putting up ten people in a hotel for Christmas.
Lime Pickle came to the attention of food lovers across the UK when it launched the world's hottest curry , called The Devil's Dish.
The business's head chef trained in Bangladesh to master the skills of authentic and traditional cooking techniques which they now combine with their tempting menu.
Reviews describe the takeaway as "excellent value for money and lovely food" and "delicious curry", reports the Birmingham Mail.
