Police drag humpback whale out to sea

Rescuing a stranded humpback whale was all in a day's work for police officers in China.

It took five hours of special care, including constant water baths, to keep the whale alive.

The sea mammal measured more than 20 feet in length, with a wingspan nearly as wide.

Experts think it was five or six years old.

As the high tide started coming in, the police were able to drag the whale to a boat. And from there, the whale was returned to the sea.
