Marks and Spencer are giving out free lunches today

Marks and Spencer are giving away 100,000 free lunches today, but just like in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, you'll need to find a golden ticket to get one.

The "Great Lunch Giveaway', as the freebie has been aptly dubbed, begins today, and will see a free lunch be given away every 12 seconds this September.

100,000 golden tickets have been hidden in M&S sandwich packs, which are being sold in Marks and Spencer's stores all around the UK.

Lucky finders will receive a free main and a drink worth £5.50, which includes BLT sandwiches, sushi, salads, and in true M&S style, butternut squash and tabbouleh wraps.

If you can't track down one of the coveted golden tickets, you can still bag yourself a free meal by signing up to cashback site Quidco before September 12th to get a free £15 spend, or to cashback site TopCashback before September 17th for a free £5 lunch.
