Parcel deliveries can cause a whole load of problems, mainly that annoying red card which means you have to trek to a depot to pick it up yourself.
But this latest delivery cock-up has to take the prize for the worst when it left a man trapped inside his flat.
Jessie Lawrence, from California, shared a photo of the slip-up on Twitter with the delivery company, writing: "He wrote Hey @ UPS, your driver left this package under our door knob like this and trapped us in our apartment. Had to call maintenance to get out."
So many questions. If he was inside the flat, why didn't the delivery driver just knock and hand it over to him personally?
Why would he wedge it under a door handle? Presumably to secure it so it wouldn't fall over and break any fragile contents.
But he obviously didn't realise just how unhelpful he was being. And it's happened to other people, too.

Thankfully, Jessie did eventually get out of the apartment - although now people are asking how he managed to take the photo if he was stuck inside.
More unhelpful are the people asking him why he couldn't just lift the handle up to escape.
We're pretty sure he probably tried that.
I like how a bunch of people are trying to tell you your handle might lift up as if you wouldn't bloody know.— Ryan Brown (@Toadsanime) 4 September 2017
I wouldn't bother posting this if I was able to get out by pulling the handle up.— Jessie Lawrence 🕹 (@hitstreak) 3 September 2017
UPS did get back to Jessie asking him to get in touch about the issue.
His tweet has since had more than 52,000 retweets and 133,000 'likes'.
Mirror Online has contacted UPS for comment.
